LANDSCAPE IN WINTER

A beautiful landscape is designed for winter. Landscape, above, is in a small subdivision. A beautiful landscape defies reality.
Beautiful landscapes, above, are beautiful from inside your house.

Claude had these, above, in his garden. You know, Claude from France. Some call him, Monet.

Contrast everything. Bark of trees, foliage of conifers, above.

Fixed objects easier on tables than potted plants. No maintenance & 24/7 color.

I lay in bed and see this gate. A joy. For years. Waking and seeing my garden. Shutters never closed. Landscape design? Partly. Mostly, creating the type of life Mrs. Ramsey had in, To The Lighthouse, by Virginia Woolf.
